I'm looking at new optics for my AR9. Not a red dot because of astigmatism, so I'm looking at various prism models, specifically the Primary Arms

Thoughts?

9mm SBR with just a 4.5" barrel, so definitely don't need a ton a magnification, but am trying to decide if some is better than none.

Use would be bay style USPSA style matches, plinking and, possible truck gun duty.

Note: I owned a Vortex Spitfire before, but could not warm up to the "circle" reticle.

Yep. 2.5x or 3x will just slow you down in fast close stuff. Makes both eyes open much harder.

I would go 1x since you will be transitioning targets at a relatively short range in a bay.

Dual illuminated triangle RMR?

That's what I have on my Ruger PC9 and I'm very happy with it.

I also have a horrible astigmatism.
