I carry a pair of Petzl headlamps while in the field. Call the 2nd one a loaner, besides batteries they are pretty rock solid.
My primary headlamp is nearing it's 5th year of service, at a minimum 384 dirty nights in the woods and about 40 battery changes.
The elastic in the headband had given up to the point of being not usable so it was time to find a replacement and and exact match was nowhere to be found. OCD being what it is, I wanted an exact replacement.
Off to the Petzl website, nothing, no listing, nothing.. Ok, how about we try emailing customer service, maybe they can recommend a vendor or something?
Nope, they sent me the exact replacement band I was needing at no cost with no questions asked..
