That looks like a good spot on the pier wrt the surf zone. Hang in there that spot looks pretty good. Keep the bait moving along the bottom. Should be some drum, whiting/croakers, spots, and maybe a flounder there. Can try some fishbites blood worms.

PS nice catch :)

Smart man, letting her beat you at fishing. It will pay off in many ways down the road!

thank you good sir:

i wanted to fish right behind were the waves are breaking, tomorrow we are gonna go fish the ICW; we picked a spot out today. maybe i’ll have better luck this go around and she continues catching them as well

Ive had better luck on the pier at Myrtle beach state park. Also there is a boat ramp in Cherry Grove you can fish at. It’s not far from the pier. Park in the gravel lot and fish the canal opposite the ramp. I’ve caught keeper flounder there in the past.

I'll be honest. All I saw were a couple of white breasts.
and spectacular ones at that!!!!

she laughed and said thank you lol

I couldn't get my wife to go to the pier with me on vacation. You're doing good.

thanks good sir, it wasn’t overly bad, killer view for the sunset.

hhhhhmmmm, i’ll have to look that up.

is it north of the 17 bridge or south of it? or right there beside it?

I’m not sure where the 17 bridge is but the address is 413 53rd ave N. Cross the bride and turn left at the bathrooms and park in the gravel lot. I tried to draw an arrow on the attachment where I’ve had success in the past. Another guy fishing there once told me if you walk to the point at the end of heritage dr you can slay trout out there. There is a nature preserve but I’ve never gone there.
