I got a pair of Pietta Great Western II pistols to give SASS a try, and to expand my business offerings. They looked fine when they arrived, but the color casing looked like cyanide. So, annealed and color cased the frame the traditional way with wood and bone, nitre blued the screws and pins, and refinished the grip with a deeper reddish brown oil finish. The black oxide on the straps and barrel was fine. Pictures are of #1 of two.
