Every few years something grows on the property that I haven’t seen before. Anyone have an ID on the plant provided? Got a ton of them growing in the creek bottom right now.

Well hot damn! You boys are alright! I did see the red berry clusters last year but none of the pitcher like plants. Big thanks all.

Tip: If you took the picture with an iPhone, just display the photo and then swipe up. It will give you an option to look it up.
I don’t know much about plants and trees and so this is a neat tool, I think.

I think it only works with the 13 & up.
I used it today when someone asked about a tree/shrub by Chad’s gate. This is what it looks like when the pic is swiped up

On my phone, I take the picture, open it from my pictures file and it gives me the option to search Google Lens. That's how I got the link I posted above.

I don’t put any g00gle apps on my phone.
G00gle dumped their motto “Do No Evil” for a reason.

I've used an app called "PlantNet" for several years. Take a pic in app and it'll look it up with predictions
and percentages of likelihood. It's been pretty accurate. Nothin I'd bet munching on w/o cross references.
But good for starters. My biggest gripe is it's connection dependent. YMMV.

When will someone finally come up with an inexpensive Linux based phone that has no Apple nor Google nor MSoft in it?
Curious, what is the purpose or use case for Linux as an operating system?

I hate proprietary software companies. They get big and make you do things...

Also, I used Unix before there was an Apple, Microsoft or Google.
