Plumbing Question- Replacing ‘50’s Toilet Flange

What’s the best flange and way to replace the old lead sealed metal flange on a 4” cast iron pipe?
- Should the pipe be cut flush with the floor?
- Where to buy? It looks like a flange is two weeks out

This reminds me of a time, I was maybe about 5 yo. The plumber was working on my grandfather’s toilet. He cut a ring out of a coffee can and then got out a torch and melted some metal. Didn’t understand what he was doing, but I’m going to guess it was a somehow fixing a leaded in cast iron flange in the concrete slab.
