Anyone have thoughts / theory's on why POF makes this statement?
SPP are softer than 556... headspace is less of an issue (in 9mm).
Inquiring minds...

Maybe they just want to sell the PCC specific model?

I do know know specifically about the POF but “word on the street” is PCC’s are hard on trigger components, particularly hammer pins.
Depending on the ammo, spring and buffer weight I can see that there could be more force on that pin.
That said I have actually never seen one break.

standard blowback PCCs are notoriously violent and hard on FCGs. I have seen many high end triggers fail in PCCs. the carrier slams the hammer back with such force it can deform the disconnector and spring. if you look at some of the triggers that are designed specifically for PCCs they have a small bridge built over the rear of the trigger to act as a stop for the hammer on the reset. if a trigger company says dont use it in a PCC then they know their product just cant handle it.

Maven nailed it. Even the "better" drop in trigger mfg's will tell you not to use their standard AR triggers in a PCC. Timney, Rise, etc. (and there are some good ones out there pretty cheap with all the sales going on.)

Here's a short video from Timney that shows the difference and the little bridge piece Maven referred to.

All I know is that it hasn't seemed to work in your PCC for tens of thousands of rounds, lol.

hasn't? or has? I've got two of them and they're both working great.

Was being a bit sarcastic. From what I have seen it's worked well.

I have a 3.5lb flat POF in mine. Definitely wasn't a "PCC" one. Haven't had a problem yet. Probably several thousand through it prior in a 556 carbine.

Funny you should say that. Mine has been doubling tripling quadrupling for longer than I care to disclose. Only when it's dirty if I keep the trigger group spotless it happens much less.

Two stage? I haven't heard of that happening with single stage triggers. How "unfortunate".

carefully inspect your disconnector spring. the hiperfires ive seen fail all have chewed up disconnector springs. i dont even know if it is a thing but if you could find an extra power disconnector spring it would proably help.

Can the modular trigger groups be taken apart? I'd prefer to send it back to POF unmolested if they will warranty it.

i dont have any of the cassette type fcgs so im not positive either way. chances are if they are now explicitly saying not to use in a pcc you might find theyll tell you that they wont warranty it. if they say they wont, then it might be worth to self assess and repair.

Actually, now that you mention it, I believe you talked about this before.

Send them a message and see if they can help. "hey, you guys didn't have a 'pcc version' when I bought this for my pcc".
Maybe they'll send you a pcc model. Never know.
