Post Your Furry Friends...

We took one of our cats to the vet last week for respiratory problems. We're going to take another one Monday if they can fit us in. Pumpkinhead was the runt of the litter. She's 14 months old now but the same size and weight she was at 8 months old. And we just noticed today that she seems to be losing fur. This is her a couple of months ago:

Max is post surgery and home relaxing. Actually super drugged up at this point. He had a ruptured CCL and a torn meniscus. So he did a job. So now rest and recovery. Then rehab begins. Just sleep tonight though.

Glad everything went alright with mad max. Hope he heals up quick. I'm sure he will be happy to be able crawl back up in his spot on your shoulder.

The first pic here is Lolo, she is in surgery now having a mass removed. If you look at her left hand you can see how the toes are separated by the tumor. Hopefully benign.
Second pic is Harley, he goes in monday to have a small mass removed from his eyelid. He is with his favorite cat Dixie.

I told Max that this was just a radio dish so he could hear the mail man even better.View attachment 775482Not his favorite thing.
Poor baby, when Marley had her ACL's done she was having no parts of hers. She was pretty "med'd" up for the first 2 days, then wanting to jump on everything,.

Max " but sad what is this?"

Yesterday the family got another member. Dog #3! This is Jetson. He is an 18 month old mutt who spent the past 7 months as the Caswell County Animal Shelter. Only been with us for a day, but he is already showing tons of affection and getting along great with our 2 older dogs and our boys. Shout out to the staff at Caswell APS who took amazing care of Jetson despite months of him getting passed over for other dogs. He is an absolute sweetheart and we are blessed to have him.

Good luck not letting him walk all over you. He has those soul piercing eyes that will let him get whatever he wants.

You just can't say no to a face like that!

Gotta take our cat Pumpkinhead to the vet today to find out what's wrong with her. She's 14 months old but the same weight and size she was at around 6 months:

She's literally skin and bones. We let her eat more than the others but it doesn't seem to make any difference. She acts (and looks) like she's starving. Her fur is rougher and thinner than the others and now she seems to be losing some of it. She's crazy for cream. She latched onto me because she knows I'm the keeper of the cream. She know what the cream container looks like and where it's kept. She can be in the bedroom at the opposite end of the house when I open the fridge door to get the cream out for my coffee and by the time I turn around she's right there giving me the most pitiful look and meow you ever heard. I really hope the vet can fix her because she's one of my favorites! Speaking of fixing, we not had her spayed because she's too small and shown no signs of going in heat.

Max finally took his first steps post op today. He's been doing nothing but hoping on 3 legs since before surgery. We were (us and the vet) getting a little concerned about him not trying to put weight on it yet, tho still early, so only a little. He started putting his weight on it around Saturday. And today I saw him take 4 little steps and go back to hoping. After dinner he did more. And my wife was crying and I started too. What a mess it was. Lol.

Waiting for the Vet to call with the results of Pumpkinhead's blood work. Vet say there might not be anything wrong and that some cats are just like that. I'm finding that hard to swallow.

Was having a drink at burial. Doing some public distraction training with Weston. A super nice dude with his digital camera asked if he could take some pictures of Weston. I said yeah, as long as you email them to me.

The last picture with us in the van I took on my iPhone.
