Potential lawsuit against Baker (again)

I just recently moved to Johnston County but needed to return to Wake to get my address change on my CCW. Bakers office refused to process my paper work if I wasn't wearing a mask. I raised a stink and attempted to ask officers literally one room over (who were not wearing masks) if they were serious. I didn't have enough time nor wished risking being arrested so I swallowed my pride and put on a chin diaper. But I was denied my right to change my address so I could continue to carry with my permit they issued because I refused to mask initially. They do this for purchase permits and new concealed permits from my observation there as well.
 
Since the permit is a state permit (issued by county), could you not just update your JC address in Johnston County? Makes no sense to have to return to another county to prove you no longer live here. What if you moved to western NC? Stupid rules, I guess.
Not surprised, however. I hope you get it sorted out.

No you have to update your address from your ISSUING county for some stupid reason. When I go to renew I'll go down to Jo Co.
 
That's good to know. I would've never thought about it.
Baker sucks, and I bet he's told his staff to slow roll anything CHP related, since he's just out after the election anyway.

The reason is the ISSUING county maintains your file. The idea is you are basically setting up for the ISSUING county to transfer your file to you new county of residence … basically you’re signing a release form.

Didn't you hear? The town has somebody in state government paying the bills. He said he would not pay her. He said the council didn't do enough due diligence before voting to hire her. That's on hold now.

Thats state treasurer Dale Folwell — good man and straight shooter. Remember that name if he runs for higher office. NC had to assume management of Spring Lake’s finances after their crooked (and well paid) manager screwed it up.
 
I rarely comment however I am really fed up with these ‘Biden’ dribble bib rules these idiots have !
I don’t know what these demigods think they are accomplishing. If the people in the office are that worried let them wear their bib and moon suit and bathe in hand sanitizer !!
I’ve watched a party of 8 come into a restaurant with one idiot wearing a bib, putting her straw under it to drink her water, then the apps came
and off came the mask as she shared food from everyone else’s plate !!!!! Am I on an alien planet ?!?!

I had to return to issuing county when I moved, PITA
 
Electing Baker has been one of the biggest mistakes coming out of this county for quite some time now. The fact that he hasn't been removed from office is the second. He, as the sheriff, is not for the people of Wake County nor his deputies.

I remember the lunatic we had for sheriff (Durham co) back in late 90s. You COULD NOT get a timely permit issued, I woubd up getting a ccw for that reason alone. I had made a bit of a scene in the office more than once over the delays. Nothing to get me thrown in the can, but enough to get staff to "come out front" to see if physical force might be needed. I got the ccw (after waiting an inordinate amt of time) and when I went to pick it up, just smiled sweetly at the prune faced gaggle of office clerics and said "SHALL ISSUE.... sweetest words in the English language, doncha' think?" The faces would curdle milk.

Glad to be moved to Nash Co, where the sheriff is a 2A HERO (he teaches ccw classes). Super good guy. He also stated that he would NOT engage the sheriff's dept for covid mask infractions, unless the store trespassed you. I told him I wanted to run away with him and have his baby. He just laughed.
