PSA: adopt a silencer in need of a home

Lol... Brooks is great...

I'm sure the new rules hurt some and the talk of hearing acts has held folks up too...

Wording in the HPA allows you to claim the tax stamps you paid for on or after the HPA was introduced on your federal income tax, one the bill is signed by Pres. Trump.

Are sales down (this is a market I don't track) because of people waiting for the HPA to pass??
Yes. Plus the "hassle" of every RP on a trust having to provide prints and photos...even though you can do both on your own at home.

The increase of individuals buying since they are no longer required to get CLEO signature doesn't come close to the people that stopped buying (due to prints/photos) or those waiting out on the HPA. Eventually those people will buy again the longer it sits in Congress with no movement.

I stopped when the trusts started requiring prints and photos. Pissed me off that they took the online system down the last 3 days before the deadline and I couldn't finish my SBR application before they changed the requirements.

Was there a change in law or did ATF just decide to make that change? Could Trump change it back without Congress?

I am waiting to see what happens with the HPA. I know a number of other people doing the same.

I "adopted" a Saker this week! He'll have plenty of company and eat well but not as well as at BW's house...lol

All of mine have to fight and scrap to eat!! Too many mouths to feed.

I'm in the "wait and see on HPA" camp too. I have a few now but won't be buying any more unless/until HPA passes.

The video is great!

I got one, and it's fine, but not worth the hassle of a year's wait. When I can buy one off the shelf at the LGS, I'll have a stack of them. Fortunately the one I got covers almost all my guns.

Don't think the HPA has a snowballs chance .... but I've got several before the change and am good for now.

That's now how it works. You buy one this month. And another next month. And repeat. Eventually, they start coming back...and they perceived wait is much shorter because you're getting an approval every month or so. :p

The extra steps don't really bother me. The being broke as shit and not being able to purchase more is the problem.

I have a lower that I want to do a SBR on, and would like another factory suppressor but just don't have the money
