How many orders a day do you think PSA receives? Saw Jamin mention it elsewhere and thought it would be a fun question to pose here. Decided not to do a poll with options, so just throw a number out there.

I’d guess between 7000-8000, but my gut tells me that is on the low side…

I’ve read/heard that mulitple tractor trailers from the same carrier do pickups there every day…and when I say multiple, I mean double digits.

How many of those are rifle lowers + pistol uppers purchased by people that don't take the time to read the big read text? 😳

3,000

Are we including retail, or just online?
based on the thread discussion (a complaint about not being able to checkout due to an ad-blocker error), I would assume online only…

I’d bet their avg order value is over $100, so we’re talking over $1M/day. No wonder they’re buying up all of these other companies, they’re tripping over the stacks of cash!

As in, how many are creating incriminating evidence of owning an SBR accidentally? You have to read an NFA warning before purchasing a pistol upper, but how many people just skim it without knowing the NFA and possibly get themselves in trouble? No skin off my teeth, but just saying, high purchase rate * low incompliance rate = crappy day for some folks, potentially.

my "huh" was in reference to your "rifle lowers".
if you're buying a lower that hasn't had an upper, it's not a rifle

Complete lower with a rifle stock, not stripped lowers is I think what was meant. But that is still an “other” on the 4473.

It’s that lovely gray area where if you own the 2 halves the ATF claims to know your intent.

PSA has quickly gone from a company who had terrible logistics, and great prices to now being a major success.

I'm glad for them. They've worked hard and it's paid off.

And who doesn't like their fun AR15 lowers?

In AR platform, it is not technically legal to mate a pistol upper with a "rifle" lower. As this technically creates an SBR. However, any AR lower can be set up for either pistol or rifle depending on what you mount to the buffer tube. Hope that helps to clarify.
He didn’t need an explanation ;). He was poking fun at the phrase “rifle lower”, which you also said while then mildly contradicting yourself.

If their ordering system actually uses consecutive order numbers…here my data point.

The difference in order number placed at 10:27p last night vs 11:22p tonight is 7,226.

Placed an order on 3/8 and another on 3/21. There were 93193 orders in between if the system numbers orders sequentially. Can't remember what time I placed each order but still looks like 7000+ orders per day.

2500 - 5000 per day ??
Triple the low end (for online purchases only) and you’re close. Include “in store” purchases from their what 6-8 locations? And I can see hitting them 10k orders/purchases a day easily. Then there’s wholesale purchases, they likely have multiple of those coming in daily. It wouldn’t surprise me if they were one of the biggest (volume wise) firearm and accessory “retailers” in the US right now.

Except when they do and force someone to make them stop.
Again, they may try, but they don’t make law. They issue opinions that can be used as a basis for arrest but more often as a threat of arrest. Unfortunately, that means fighting them in court with your limited funds vs their unlimited funds.

However much they're selling now, they deserve to in my experience. They have become one of the top companies to deal with in terms of product availability, ease of purchase and speed of delivery.
Wanted to toss this out there, and it wasn’t worth a new thread. Goes along with your speed of delivery comment. They used to have a horrible rep for that, but it’s definitely improved over the last several years.

They’ve also apparently made an update to their shipping notifications since my last order (which looks like it was 2/1/21). I placed two orders this week, and here’s how it went:

- first order on Wed @ 10:27p
- second order on Thu @ 11:22p
- both PSA shipment notifications on Fri @ 11:10a
- two UPS notifications on Fri @ 11:55a

(up to this point, it’s the fairly normal experience…but those UPS emails will say expected delivery date of the next day, although it ends up being days later since the label was created but the packages just sit there)

- two “order is on its way” emails from PSA on Fri @ 7:03p

This is new for me. Checked my UPS app and both packages show Origin Scan at 7:02/7:03 last night.

Then four emails this morning. PSA notifying me they’re out for delivery almost 90 minutes before UPS does.

PSA notifying me the packages were actually in transit is new…and I appreciate it.

I was in the corporate headquarters this past Nov for a meeting and the TV mounted on the wall keeps track of real time analytics. At 10am that day, they were at 7545 orders since midnight. Average order amount was $243.

Then we went to Cracker Barrel.
They didn’t have you sign an NDA?

For all the positives, their customer service is atrocious. You can't call to get a customer service agent - the phone tree doesn't allow it. They recommend using Live Chat, but in my experience, the chat agent is rarely available. They don't answer emails. I have gotten them on Facebook Messenger, but they never resolved the issue.

The easiest way to get an issue handled is to PM Josiah on AR15. Not that everybody knows that, or has an account there, but it absolutely works.

Jamin also posts on there as well. Saw him reply to a guy yesterday with his email address and said reach out and it would get fixed. (I think it was a situation where a Dagger, or maybe two, hadn’t shipped in 30 days).
