I'm pulling down my dipole, but trying to figure out if I need to take the 30' vertical down. It's tied off, but this is a hurricane so.... ?

The 2m on the roof can stay, I suspect the old chimney it's tied to will go away before that bracket gives out.

We got 70mph when Fran got here 22 years ago and it made a pretty big mess. I know how many trees got pushed over or snapped in half but I can't speak to antenna.

We are expecting to be extremely busy after the storm. If any of y’all wind up needing a tower crew, let me know via PM.

If you take it down, you'll have to put it back up. If you don't take it down, and the storm doesn't take it down, you won't have to put it back up.

Truth, I just wonder how nicely it will bring it down.

I was talking it over with an other HAM and he pointed out that he could use his drone to take a new line up into the trees to hang it again. That's awesome. The current spot I have it isn't where I want it but it's as high as my slingshot could carry the weight and fishing line up that I used to pull up the real line. With a drone just flying to the exact branch I want... man, that's classy.
