PURCHASE PERMIT REPEAL GETS HEARING TUESDAY

I got a reply to my GOA generated email. I highlighted part of her reply that makes no sense at all.

Thank you for your email. I believe we need permitting rules to limit the number of guns in the hands of people who should not have them, including those involved in past violent crimes such as domestic violence. I understand that guns get into the hands of people who should not have them illegally, and this is of course a significant problem. However, eliminating permitting would make that problem worse, not better, by allowing easier access to those who are obtaining firearms to use in criminal activity.
While we may disagree on this, I genuinely appreciate you reaching out and would be happy to set up a time to talk about this further if you would like.

Wonder if she can provide a number of people that a permit stopped from getting a gun. My guess is, she can’t.

MI Gov. has called for more gun control, background checks, safe gun storage, etc. Nothing that would have prevented the manic from shooting people.

My only issue with his speech is that he keeps referring to "your country" and not "our country". He is a legal immigrant.
