I'm not sure if this is an issue with the forum or my mobile (android) phone. In the past when I saw a picture on the interwebs that I wanted to post on the forum, I would tap/hold on the pic, then select download. Doing so downloaded the pic directly to my phone gallery. I could then go to the forum, click "Attach files", then "Browse", then select the picture from my phone gallery. That always worked flawlessly in the past.

But now when I try to do this, everything goes fine until I select the file from my phone gallery that I want to post. When I do, here is a screenshot of the message that appears where the pic thumbnail usually appears (see below) - so what changed? I did get a newer phone a couple months ago, so not sure if it started before that or after.

You’ve tried this with multiple pictures?

Yes - and I get that the pic I'm trying to upload is not a supported image format, I just don't understand what changed after all this time.

And now that I think of it, I have the same issue with trying to text pictures that I've downloaded from the internet.

So to clarify, I have no problems posting or texting pictures that I took with my phone. It's only happening with pics that I downloaded from the interweb.

The only way I've been able to post pics that I downloaded from the internet is to screenshot them first. But then that screws up the pic because it includes the blank spaces the way it appears on my phone.

Mine did that after an update. Somehow the update changed the format my pictures were being saved as.

Edit/crop the pic before you post it. 🤓
