Radian Weapons comp

Never fired that particular model but I’ve tried carry gun comps in the past and just wasn’t a fan. Had a “Roland Special” back when that was the cool thing and while it certainly helped with recoil, it was only reliable if I lightened the recoil spring or used hot ammo, would malfunction a lot with standard range ammo.

Now if this radian would reliably cycle range stuff then they might be onto something, but for how much they charge for it, I never wanted one bad enough to find out.

That seems terribly expensive for what it is. Unless you’re shooting pissin hot major loads with a slow burning powder, I don’t see much benefit happening here.

Running a lighter spring and working up a load with heavy bullets and fast powder will help quite a bit.

I don’t mean to rain on your parade! 🍻

I’ve heard great things but the cost doesn’t make sense to me so I’ll never know.

It sure looks cool.

I have one on my EDC. It’s a good addition to a Glock in my opinion if you can find it on sale. North of 3.5k+ rounds on it with the OEM Gen 5 recoil spring assembly. First RSA was worn in heavily when I installed the Ramjet + Afterburner, put 2k on that one. Installed a brand new OEM RSA and have 1.5k+ on this one.

No malfunctions except 1 steel case monarch that had a bad primer and wouldn’t go bang after trying twice. All grain weights, bullet types, and case types with 0 issues not ammo related, stock spring

Not a necessity so get it or don’t, up to you. Works for me

Can you tell a difference in how dot tracks?

There’s definitely a difference, check video for reference. Did some iPhone slow-mo out of my own curiosity

The comp really helps mute that vertical muzzle rise. I didn’t have a problem tracking the dot before and the comp won’t fix poor form but it definitely helps keep that dot in place. If you have any more questions ask away. The more I shoot it the more I like it

Quick edit: using steel case 115gr Monarch in the video. Solid ejection even with range trash
