Hey everyone. I am a lobbyist in Raleigh from an old NC family (back to King George land grant old, haha). I am used to Reddit and NC Hunt and Fish, but new here. I'm always looking to interact with knowledgeable gun owners and enthusiasts. I've been a finance director in the GOP and a private industry consultant who now spends a lot of time on charitable endeavors. I love hunting and fishing and believe heavily in investing in my community. Over time, maybe I will share some of the groups, but I have started a homeless veterans charity, a (minority-focused) gun ownership group (I believe we need to find new allies in the fight for 2nd Amendment), and a hunting/preservation club on family land in the Northern part of the state.
If any of those things in particular interests you, reach out. We are always looking for support and just to interface with the public on these important issues. In particular, there are only about 1000 homeless veterans right now in North Carolina -- a totally actionable number especially given existing support networks like the VA.
Whether it's any of the particular causes that I've mentioned or something else, I would encourage everyone to become more involved in our participatory democracy. Rather than complain about what others are doing wrong, go out and prove that your way is right -- that's what I try to do at least.
