Picked up a Ruger Charger 10/22 today and looking for scope options. It's pictured with my Benjamin Marauder pellet pistol. I have a UTG bug buster on it that I have been pretty happy with. Looking for something similar size wise. I'd like something at least 4x magnification and this will be used primarily 50yards and under, probably 20-30yards for squirrels and plinking. Any advice?

Isn't that new ATF rulemaking going to affect your ability to put anything other than a red dot or long eye relief pistol scope on the Charger without putting yourself in legal jeopardy? I'd imaging the squirrel police would jam you up if you stumbled into them.
If that's not a concern of yours because "free men", then I'd put a cheap LVPO from Sig, Primary Arms or Vortex on there. I just picked up a Meopta6 2.5-15x44 for under $500 from Midsouth. This thing has impressive glass for price. It's a little heavy, but it's on a benched gun so...anyways, I'd look into the Meopta 1-6 LVPO now based on my experience with the other scope.

ATF ruling if it comes could affect things but I'd probably just SBR it if so. You just reminded me I do have an older Leupold pistol scope somewhere I could try. I'm not sure with the existing top rail if I could get enough eye relief though. I'll dig it out this weekend and try it.

Nikon made a P-223 Compact fixed 4x scope, similar to your Bug Buster but a step up in glass no doubt. I have one on a 10/22 plinker and like it a lot. It'll be less weight than a LPVO. It has 2 hash marks you can use for holdovers once you determine the ranges they represent for your loads.

I don't believe they make them anymore but they show up as used or old new stock from time to time.
