There's also always the ACOG in all it's variations if you're looking for fiber illumination.

I’ve had a couple of those. Hated the reticle vs the chevron found in PA/ACSS and ACOG. Otherwise, they’re quality.

I'm going to piggyback onto this thread and ask how high of a mount would I need to get a cowitness or a lower 1/3 coziness with a prism/red dot? I have a friend just getting into shooting that likes a simple dot/prism, but the rifle setup has a front sight post. I never messed with dots much since I have an astigmatism, and never shelled out for a prism yet.

PA stuff comes with a cowitness mount. They take standard acog mounts if he wants something higher. Any reputable brand will list if it is a cowitness 1/3 1.93" (or whatever the giraffes use now)

I think some of the newer small PA stuff are micro acog? Idk I'd message PA CS just to verify which acog it is before ordering but they are all acog mounts.

This is the 3x. You can take the middle mount off and make it lower if it's going on something else like an AK or something.

You can also put a Kram Spacer on the full size PA prisms or anything else with the ACOG footprint. These raise the optic and set it back.

I have one on each of my acogs and consider it to be almost mandatory (for me).

I definitely have to recommend the Primary Arms SLx 1x micro prism. What a fantastic optic. I intend to get one for myself when the opportunity avails itself.

The PA 1x & 3x micro prisms can’t beat unless you step up to a acog.

Picked up a Vortex Strikefire II and dig it!

Just another vote for the Primary Arms micro prisms. Haven't handled the 3x offering or the magnifier, but love my 1x. The vortex has such a poor reticle design, I hate I even own one. The Burris offerings are good, but not the value they were once with primary arms now on the market.

I wish there were more 1x prism options available. Along with more reticles.

They are popular and great red dot alternatives. Love the Vortex, but needs new reticle design, imo.
