This morning I created a post in the 'Firearms News and Views' section about the topic of carrying concealed in privately owned spaces.

I apologize for framing the question as if the forum is some collective hive-mind. And I did not intend to create a thread where members may incriminate themselves.

I suppose I was thinking this could create discussion on the legislation itself. Discussions along the lines of:
Do people find the law to be fair for violating the wishes of a private establishment? I personally believe there shouldn't be legislation here, and that private businesses can handle things by themselves and decide to trespass someone who violates it if they should choose. If we really want to be fair here, then violating a "no food or drink" sign should be punishable by an infraction and a fine up to $500 as well.

I needed to navigate this topic with a bit more finesse, and word my post in a better way. I apologize to the forum members and staff, and will give more thought to my posts going forward. Cheers!

Apologies not necessary. Your OP is very vague. IMO.

To answer the question. A company should not have rights. If its open to the public then you take the public as they are. Where's the line?

Don't like the color of a person they can be banned? Discrimination.
What about religion? That can be changed as one wants.

This is different than X prohibited due to sanitary issues.

I frame the signage problem to both sides in the same way, with a surprisingly high rate of acceptance.

If you're okay with being able to put up a sign that says that people bearing arms are not allowed on the premises, then you logically must agree that it is okay to post a sign that says "We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone."

I sincerely appreciate you for taking the time and further explaining this as I saw the other thread and posted a response in it. Absolutely no hard feelings here or among our CFF staff................these are uncertain times and along with that arises legitimate questions that deserve answers my friend.

I'm not trying to gouge for CFF membership money by saying this but many of our threads of that nature simply fit better inside our "CFF MEMBERS ONLY" discussion section. No criticism intended here but that section exist on the forum for those like-minded members who have put some skin in the game to help keep the lights turned on here, assist if we reach a point that we need legal defense(s), and firmly defend our right to maintain a presence in the firearms community and online so our people can interact together.

We've now reached a point that we're about to find out who is serious about 2A rights and freedoms in this country we call home.

Hellllll, I'm so outta touch I missed where I was sposed ta be offended.

Me too. But, it seems people are easily offended these days. Us old farts wouldn’t have known you were supposed to be offended until someone told you.
