Remington 1187 Special Purpose Camo

I see one of these on gunbroker for over 4K. Are these really that rare? Is this one “ different“? Inquiring minds want to know, lol.

It might be a limited production of that camo pattern or barrel type but overall no. 11-87 prices have gone stupid after Remarms discontinued them. A 20 gauge synthetic sportsman model was over $1000 when I was looking last year.

They’re better than many give them credit for but I don’t see the draw compared to something like an original Browning A-5 or Winchester Model 12 that could be an heirloom. Then again I think I saw somewhere that an original H&K Super Black Eagle was going for close to $3000.

I saw that gun on Gunbroker, I believe it was just like Micheal Waddel’s. There was a recent video about his turkey set-up. I think that it why that particular one went so high.
