Replacing two tires, front vs rear, and rotations

On my service vans and work truck I have never rotated a set of tires in my lifetime.

The front wear twice as fast as the back. When they do I replace the front 2. When the back are needed, the older front to the back. My reasoning is it steers better and that makes me happy.

The point of rotating tires is to maintain consistent wear on all four. If two are already inconsistent why bother rotating at all?
Because the crossover part of a rotation will help spread out the wear. Or at least that’s why I’d do it.

Yall are hilarious! There are several wondering why I came here to ask the question if I'm just going to google it. The answer, of course, is because I didn't ask which two to replace. I said in the OP I was going to replace the two rear like Google told me, and proceeded to ask a question about tire rotations. But the car fudds who have "just been doing it that way since 1973, SONNY" couldn't help themselves sharing opinions on a question I didn't ask. Ok, boomers!

Next time just ask Google both questions then. Ok, Junior? :)
