Restaurant Impossible

Let us know when it airs. Or has it already?

Hm. Post #1 did not lead one to expect Post #2!

Glad it worked out ok! Hope it's good publicity for 'em.

I love this show. I’ll be sure to check out that episode!

Thanks for the heads up! I'll definitely check it out!

For those that have DVRs, it’ll stream again Friday at 3am (in other words, 3.5 hours from now).

Interesting. I still remember eating at a restaurant called The Grasshopper II IN NJ before and after Gordon Ramsey has it on his kitchen nightmares (puke). I even sat at the exact same table, in the same spot he did for the show. Puke.

My sister-in-law’s restaurant is getting a make over on this show tonight…ouch. The host is just brutal.
Can you comment on any fake drama for the show etc? Anything planted to make it look worse or directors encouraging and 'bad' behavior(s)?

About 50% of the restaurants on that show still fail. Of course, I really hope that your SIL's does not, @Tim !

We've been to some places on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives, and on Man vs Food. Some have been great, some, not so much.

I wasn't there, but my understanding is that it was pretty legitimate. There was some staging of course, but the interactions were genuine.

Again 3/9 at 9am.

Wife and I just watched the rerun. Yeah, he was just brutal on her. But, the transformation of the place was amazing. I assume that was your brother with the @Chdamn haircut and the grey facial hair.

I think shows like that are a mixed blessing. Sometimes it brings more customers to a struggling business, other times it makes them blow up so much that they franchise or open other locations and the food and service really begin to suffer. I've been to a few of the DDD places that were the latter.
