RIA Rock Ultra FS 10mm Or Not

I started the day thinking I “need” to add a 1911 style 10mm. I was thinking either a Sig or Springfield until I saw and handled the Rock Island in the title. From the few minutes it was in my hand I was pretty impressed and don’t mind saving money if it’s not going to come back and bite me later.
Anyone with hands on experience want to warn me away or should I make my wallet happy and go the cheaper route?

I like mine. No issues with it other than the fiber tube cracked when firing it. Simple fix. Actually changed colors. I bought the FS HC version.

Thanks. How’s the grip on the HC? I wear an XL glove but wouldn’t want too bulky.

Put a dab of superglue under the pipe to cradle it and prevent cracking or just flying out.

It is a thick grip for sure. Reminds me of a FNX45.

I’m a big fan of mine. Had it a bit less than a year or so. For what you get they are hard to beat. They are a great way to see if you like the platform and concept.

I love mine I sent it back to RIA and had a 40 S&W barrel fitted by the factory

The Rocks are great guns for the money though.

That's why I sold it to ya... I liked it a whole lot, and then I found a Dan Wesson Pointman 7 10mm, which I like even better!

I have a 1026... what a great shooter! But it's not a 1911. I enjoy debating with myself which one I like more.
