I have stored white rice in my dry basement in the sealed bag and in a bucket with a snapped lid. Now that rice is unobtainable in the stores, I looked at the rice today and it looks fine but has a best by date of 2013.
Some places online say 4-5 years past the best by date, others say if stored in a cool dry place, it is good forever.
So what is the general opinion, is it still ok to eat?
