Ruger 45-70/marlin

NIIIIIIICE!

I hope it shoots as good as it looks!

Nice looking gun! If I didn't already have a GBL, I'd be tempted to go look for one.

Wrong section but great gun !! Enjoy!

If a 3000 yard rifle isn't long range, I don't know what is. 🙃 http://www.researchpress.co.uk/index.php/firearms/long-range/sandy-hook-1879

Ok, without having to click on a weird link with “sandy-hook” in the address, tell me what’s in it. A custom built 45-70 with a mile long barrel, a $5k optic and a 200moa prism, with a perfect load developed for it?

I’m following mark & sam after work on YT, they’re ELR only and their purpose built 45-70 struggles at 1800 with light wind.

Thanks for the chuckle but your average joe and his lever cannon ain’t signing up for a long range precision match.

The "1879" at the end of the link is the year that the referenced test was conducted. It's safe, I promise.

Its from the original military tests, done back in 1879.

The 45-70 has a maximum lethal range of 3000 yards.

Not saying its an easy shot, but its capable of it.
