i wish i had one of those again. i only shot mine a couple times, but when it came time to have a rifle or a house to store all my other rifles, the choice was clear. not easy, but clear.

Only shoot jacket bullets. Lead bullets will clog up the gas system

I hope you picked it up! I agree that jacketed bullets work best but the gas system isn't too hard to clean and I've heard of folks successfully running lead through theirs. Mine is a "1st" model. They are great for short range hunting, say, up to 150 yards or more. Also, they don't like underpowered ammunition! I would like to see Ruger bring them back for the folks that want one again. I'm hanging on to mine!!!

Love mine. Likes hot ammo or it will short stroke. I have the 77/44 as well. Love 44 carbines.

I always seem to be a day late or a dollar short when those pop up.....but I have ALWAYS wanted one.

I emailed Ruger for years asking for a return of the PC carbine....that worked, maybe I should do the same for these

Actually, I think the 10/22 was designed as the trainer rifle for it.
