Hey everyone I was just curious on what is your favorite ammo with the S.F.A.R. Have you had to adjust the gas block to make them cycle? I run mine on setting two and it only really cycles the heavier grains.

My best groups were with Federal 180 grain jacketed soft points and speer 168grains. Curious on what your rifle likes in ammo.

Really interested in these rifles. How do you like it overall?
I like it I've only ever handled two 308 ar's in my life and only shot this one but it was significantly lighter and recoil was pretty good! It didn't cycle some of the lighter grain ammo but it has a adjustable Gas block so if I tuned it I bet it could shoot lighter grain ammo. I plan on taking it hunting I can't wait haha I've never hunted before.

Never saw anything but pictures in gun rags of either SFAR or its Patriot Ordnance Factory counterpart.
I guess they have their place, but they're too proprietary for my tastes.
My carbine type AR10 took some tweaking to make it comfortable to shoot, and it wasn't cheap, but its not lite or very heavy, but it's reliable with everything it's ever been fed, and accurate with most of it. I'd really love it more with an 18 inch barrel as opposed to its current 16 inch tube.
I'm not bad mouthing the SFAR type carbines, but they just aren't of interest to me.
If you get one, I hope it lives up to your expectations.
And best ammo depends on the rifle.........

I was watching one of the usual YouTube channels (Guns and Gear... I think) and he said you break it in on one gas setting, then move to another. He had cycling issues too until he did that. I believe he said it was in the manual, so check it out if you're like the rest of us men and never read it. :D
