S&D gun show

Terrible!! Plenty of ammo, but still high dollar! Some vendors I had never seen before. That's a good thing. Sherwood was no place to be seen. Not sure about that.

One table had a Glock 48 for $599. On the way back, I checked with Academy, and their price was $499! I saw one (1) lever action rifle. A Rossi black, plastic stocked .22lr. Bunch of Ruger Wranglers, priced at $50 more that just a few weeks ago, etc., etc. Folks were buying though. If you have nothing to do, it might be worth a $7?

Sherwood sold the s&d to another guy. I sold stuff [first time] at his last New Bern show. Had plenty of vendors for a change. Sold 300.00 worth of stuff. I never waste my time going to Greenville any more. It used to be a good show when it was in the armory but not nowadays. Might improve with the new owner once we get past this insanity.

So, in 2005 he was convicted for not having permission from the government to sell firearms?

He’s been running the S&D since 2005 I thought until he sold but afaik he wasn’t selling anything. I haven’t bought anything from him in ages, before 2000, probably longer. Gotta play by the rules wether you agree with them or not. At least ‘the show will go on!’.

That is how I read it. I don't know the man but the aft went after a dear friend of mine 20+ years ago who was vending gun shows selling AK parts. Magazines and such.
They raided his home at 5 am on a Sunday moring tore thru everything and found nothing illegal.
They Advised him to stop the gun shows or expect this to be a routine thing at his house.
