Coming after Sig and Hellcat

Coming after Sig and Hellcat
Me Likey!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a couple shield 1.0’s and like them but all of the high cap micro 9’s had me thinking about a Hellcat. I’m an M&P guy all the way, but previously had some XD’s and liked them. Getting 50% greater mad a capacity is quite attractive!
I’ll be keeping an eye out for a shop that has both the Hellcat and Shield Plus that I can handle. I don’t think my current shields will be going anywhere but I’ll likely add one of these two to the carry rotation.

I said the same thing and was told that if you look on their website the PC version has the optics cut option. Can't wait to sneak this past my wife I've been waiting for this gun since sig released the 365.
I saw where the PC one is optics ready but I would hope so for $900! You would still think that they would have made the standard one OR too to keep up with lots of other brands that are offering that now in the $550 range.

I never, ever, buy a first-year gun. But, I may have to break my own rule here. If these shoot like the 1.0, take my money !!!!! It looks like you can have them with or without the safety lever. These may not require an apex trigger like the 1.0, we'll see.

My wife and daughter both carry M&P Shield 9mm pistols with the 8 round mags, it would be awesome if they made factory mags that hold 13 rounds for those guns, I can’t tell if the additional capacity is due to a gun redesign or just larger magazines that fit the current platform.

I have to imagine they redesigned the grip a little bit to accommodate that funnel type mag. The slides might be the same but I think frames are redesigned.
Edit: looking at the few pics they have up, it looks like the grip of the Plus is slightly rounded in profile while the normal shields have more of a flat side to the grip. I could be wrong, there aren’t a ton of pics/angles out there yet.

They also claim they’ve made the grip texture “less aggressive”.

So far I've sat out the hi cap micro gun wave. I think I want this one.

This right here...
It looks like the slide is the same dimensionally as the other Shields. I have tons of holsters for that already.

This is an immediate buy from me.

Brownells shows them in stock and has all of the variations listed.

Im waiting for a non-PC optics ready version, 3.1” or 4” is fine w me.

Don't forget about us when you get that shinny new rooty tooty, throw it in the mud and baptiste it in the creek. Let us know if it's boring old s&w reliability.

The suburban/urban version of this is to hip check a misbehaving child at Walmart with it on your belt, drop it on concrete from 3 feet (unloaded but cocked), splash it around in a oliy filmed puddle, sweat on it a bunch, and then test fire it after all that without maintenance after leaving it in the car overnight on the coldest day of the year.

I like the flatter trigger. Never loved the super curved one.
If they make an optics ready, I'm buying.
They'll have them. Good luck finding those models in stock.

It looks like the Plus has the same slide as the 1.0 and 2.0. Check out the link above this post.
I think they may have just changed the trigger shoe, and hollowed out the grip, while slightly enlarging it to accept a fatter mag.
It is nearly identical.
Genius move on S&W.
May have to safe queen this tricked out G43x I've carried all winter.
