The '08, first year guns are wonderful! I have one with a 4 digit serial number. It was made in '08 and shipped out for sale in '12. Poor critter laid around the factory for 4 years before selling. That $21 retail price kept the sales down.@Jeppo and I took the grips off this afternoon. Factory refinish in 1921, though you can’t tell looking at the gun. Also, there is a name penciled inside one of the grips along with a date from late 1908. Seems to be when it was bought.
How’d you like to double your money; today? The '08, first year guns are wonderful! I have one with a 4 digit serial number. It was made in '08 and shipped out for sale in '12. Poor critter laid around the factory for 4 years before selling. That $21 retail price kept the sales down.

Let’s talk about the “bargain” I saw today. One of the first tables I passed had a nice Smith .22. It was marked $625 or $650 and I asked to examine it. While doing so, the guy said he really wanted to sell it and would take $525 right then and there. I thanked him, explaining I’d just arrived and wanted to see what else there was. He pushed hard.
I checked on GB and one was very close to closing at $185 plus shipping. Those with minimum prices much over $200 were getting no bids.
IIRC, they just raised the price of “letters”.
Come on. Surely you’ll be gettin’ most’a your money back in a week or two.Haven’t been to a gun show since 2013. First one I go to I walk out $1000 lighter
