I’m starting this early because I’m hoping someone will see this who knows the name of the steel target company that sets up at Brandon’s shows. Thanks

@LeeMajors, @MacEntyre and I will have a couple tables there. We‘ll also have some items from @BASIL.

Come say howdy and buy our stuff.

P.S. I’ll be offering autographed copies of my bestselling book, “Get a Bigger Target”.

Better bring that brass contraption. Maybe it will draw some attention to the table. 🤣

I’m supposed to be in Salisbury on Sunday finishing a diving class. If I can make it, I may drop by as it’s on my way home.

If you’re taking a Taurus Judge to the show, let me know

I’ve got one in Raleigh. My dad decided to part with his Judge, so I am selling it for him. 3” barrel and stainless. Low round count, like his guns usually are.

Also have Judge ammo. It isn’t cheap, but I’ve got it.

Maybe not worth the drive for you, though.

Thanks, Steve. If I don’t find something that moves me, in Salisbury, I’ll see if you still have it next week. Sell it if you can, of course.

Something happen there today? I came back thru Salisbury about 1130 and decided to stop and check it out. Parking lot was packed, line of about 50 or 60 waiting to get in, and about 15 police cars at a side entrance with lights flashing. Saw all that and came on home lol

I got there at noon and walked right in. No line, no police outside. Nothing.

Not too crowded while I was there, heard it was a madhouse earlier in the day.
Always good seeing some CFF crew.
And Mrs. Jeppo's cookie was delicious, as always.

Considered picking up a couple Mora knives, but decided against it
Nothing I couldnt live without

I showed up at 11am and line was 40 deep and police officers all over side entrance. I’ll try again tomorrow morning I don’t need a dang thing but I always like to look and if something catches my eye buy.

Ever figure why?

If you aren't working tomorrow you Need to meet us in Wagram...it's an experience you need to have. When you are an old man like me you will think back to your first visit there and .......giggle!

People throwing money around like it was dead leaves. The 2 dealers across the aisle sold all but 11 between them

I saw very little cash at our table.
I’ll never understand how people attend a gun show and don’t bring cash to purchase a weapon. In addition, we still have new people who don’t understand that you need a permit to purchase a pistol in this state.

We three watched an amazing scene yesterday. A lovely family (dad, mom and two lovely daughters) shopping for older daughter's first gun. Dad has apparently been carrying since the early 90's. Mom has a CHP and wants something smaller, daughter has a PPP.

We watched them literally take many hours going from table to table picking up and discussing everything in plastic. When they made their way over to our tables, we did our best to advise them dispassionately. It seemed like a big responsibility to help the young girl, not just sell her something.

After all those hours, they returned to us. The girls admitted they were completely confused by what they'd seen around the show. By that time, we'd moved my M&P Compact in front of @LeeMajors because he's clearly the pistol-selling guru. @MacEntyre tried to sell Mom his pocket gun (P365) while the two of us chatted with the girls. Eventually, the prospective buyer asked whether she could take my Compact to the tables across from us and compare it to what they had (they had no Compacts). Sure, said Jeppo.

A few minutes later, the girls came back and the buyer said, "I'll take it". She presented her DL and PPP and peeled off some cash. I thanked her and returned her change. She counted it and handed me back $5. "What's that", asked I. "You've been so nice to us, it's a tip", said she.

I thanked her profusely and told her to spend the $5 on ammo (not that it'll buy much today). It was truly a joy watching what they went thru and being a small part of her introduction to firearms. I'd like to think we treated them fairly and honestly, giving the best advice we could. I told her to shoot the hell out of the gun, not just carry it. I also told her that there's a chance it will turn out to NOT be the right gun for her. No amount of fondling guns can equal shooting and carrying one. I pointed out that she doesn't hafta be married to the gun. In today's market, she could shoot and then sell the gun for very close to what she paid for it and try yet another one; over and over until finding what actually IS the right gun for her.

Being part of the experience made yesterday a great day. We invited the whole family to join us here on CFF. They'd make an awesome addition to our community. I hope we see them here soon.

Sounds like you guys did CFF proud.

I'm just surprised that none of the family got sniffed.

As alot of yall know. I've been told ill talk the letters off a stop sign. But this was a very different experience. And an absolute pleasure to impart a little knowledge into an impressionable young lady.

I will also say the parents have done a fantastic job raising those two young ladies. In the last 10 or so years I've only met one person in their age range that was so polite and respectful.

Unfortunately that lovely family mentioned above wasted about an hour of ours and 2 other friends’ time shopping for pistols. After a pleasant conversation, and Dad ready to commit to trading for the 2 pistols we had discussed, the girls pulled him away from the table, and promised to return. That’s the last we saw of them, before they walked out with their purchase.
