Wife and I aren’t going home for Christmas this year so we decided to fly up here for a few days and check it out. It’s been a good trip so far, we checked out Park City, the Zoo and Great Salt Lake state park.Utah definitely has some weird alcohol laws. Nothing over 5% on draft, although the breweries can pour anything higher out of cans/bottles. You also have to order food with a drink if you’re a restaurant. A lot of the places will have cheap options to order so you can be in “compliance”. By far the craziest thing, is their metering devices on any liquor. The bars have to use this system that precisely meters our pours to be 1.5oz or less. And the system tracks all pours. Has to be an insane cost to the owners.
