Utah definitely has some weird alcohol laws. Nothing over 5% on draft, although the breweries can pour anything higher out of cans/bottles. You also have to order food with a drink if you’re a restaurant. A lot of the places will have cheap options to order so you can be in “compliance”. By far the craziest thing, is their metering devices on any liquor. The bars have to use this system that precisely meters our pours to be 1.5oz or less. And the system tracks all pours. Has to be an insane cost to the owners.

Saw a bunch of “free Palestine” and “ceasefire” posters on downtown light poles, not surprising since this is a big city, but I had to stop and get a pic of this little gem….

Are you going to drive over to Ogden, Ut while you are there?

2501 Wall Ave, Ogden, UT 84401

Son and his pregnant wife just moved back, he was stationed at Hill AFB, then moved back to Carolina for 8 years, he swears it’s a beautiful place,

I was in grad school at The U in the late '80's, and lived in Salt Lake City for 2 years. Beautiful area, with endless outdoor fun, except for the lake itself. Just a big, smelly salt marsh.

Beer was limited to 3.2% ABV back then, so two of my grad school buddies and I would throw our saddlebags on our motorcycles and ride to Evanston, WY to buy beer. We could carry six 6-packs each.
