Sand pie?

This Yankee needs to be educated-again

My wife is a very good cook - gourmet - not the skimpy portion type- but hearty fantastic type.
Today she announced that she was going to make a NC desert when a friend visits from the NC coast.
Am I going to be amazed or want to drink a bottle of scotch?

please help me prepare - it is Atlantic Beach Pie..
all that I can think of is mud pie…. with sand instead of mud.
Will I survive?

Can’t make a desert without some sand.
Even if that’s not technically true.

It's not bad, just a takeoff of Key Lime pie. I prefer the graham crust of key lime over the saltine crust. Just a personal preference, although she may be hard pressed to find saltines now if my local Food Lion is any indication, they haven't had saltines on the shelf in over a month.
