I've been shooting this rifle since 2006. Last month for some reason I suddenly couldn't hit the side of a barn @ 100 yds.
I discovered that over time the scope had slipped forward (or back?) in the rings. I re-positioned the scope and today at the range I saw that it had slipped again after only 45 rds.
From a brief internet search I leaned that there may be oil on the scope/rings, I should thoroughly degrease.
Then the options to keep it from slipping are, double sided tape, fingernail polish, silicone adhesive of staking the inside of the ring to give a friction point. I'm sure there are more
Any advice on a method to stop the slide?
Thanks
