Deep cleaning Dad’s deer rifle and didn’t realize the retaining pin wasn’t press fit. Shaking it dry on the front porch and slung the latch and pin into the flower bed. I can find the pin but having trouble finding the early latch.

Found the latch. Rolling magnet to the rescue. Still trying to find that little pin…
On Numrich, the timing latch for both is the same part number, the pin looks identical, but is a letter off.
I have a few of these stashed just in case:
Stack 2 or three of those together and you'll be pulling rust particles out of the dirt with them. That pin will turn up if it's steel.
