Last night I installed the Galloway Precision Boudica trigger on my SD9VE. I had to do a bit of Dremel work to get the trigger to fit just right. It test functions fine and feels better than the stock trigger. I already have the Apex spring kit installed, a stainless guide bar, and a longer take down bar installed. Now I need to get it to the range to see how well it performs. And whether or not this is truly an upgrade.

Worst factory trigger on a striker fired pistol I have ever tried. So it went to my nephew who isn't old enough to buy from an FFL (but has a PPP).

I told him about the Apex trigger kit but he's not about to spend money

years ago, on a 4 wheel drive sight I used to visit, there was a guy who went by USMCDoc that posted a bunch of how to videos and threads, one that was pretty good was titled "the most maligned pistol made" about a Smith Sigma. He came up with his own trigger mods, it worked pretty good and didn't cost much. He then challenged anyone on the site that had an FFL to take possession of the gun and shoot it as much as possible without cleaning it, then send it to the next guy on the list to give it a try. The gun floated around for over a year and 5000+ rounds without cleaning. He posted a bunch of stuff on utube, but due to his job position, he scrubbed a bunch of it

Just a quick, final note on the new trigger's performance. I LIKE it! smoother and seems to be a lighter pull (I don't have a gauge to tell for sure though). I am glad I installed it. This will be the last upgrade or mod for this budget gun. Any more "upgrades" will mean selling it to buy a new Sig, or Canik, or HK, or Beretta or ...........
