Come on, that's not a truck. It's a glorified car with a external trunk. :D

I leased one for 2 years. Liked it but I needed more 'truck' vs. 'car'.

She will love it.

I've been thinking of getting a new truck at some point. I was discussing the idea with a friend who is likewise thinking of doing do. The conversation got muted a bit when it turned to the fact that what we want will start with a four or five with four zeros after it.

It is absolutely insane what people pay for trucks.

Got a Z71 Sierra with full size bed for such manly needs. She wanted something that she could drive down on the lease during range day, AFTER everything is all set up. Said if her rifle case and gear will fit in the back then that’s enough.

AB080C85-BAED-43BD-A586-C6DDC18039AA.jpeg Got some hella deals Memorial Day weekend. Rode 2.5 hrs to Lancaster on Saturday and 2 hrs to Murrells Inlet on Sunday. 2017 TRD take offs (rim and tires, Goodyear Wrangler Adventurers w Kevlar 4,000 miles on them) and leer bedcover (already same paint code). 700 & 350, respectively. $1200 after TPMs swap, balance and alignment. I’m loving it. Did an oil change to Mobile 1 oil and filter today. Gonna tint the front windows in the next few weeks and put some seat heaters in the next few months (she insists). Somewhere in between white LEDs in the bed and red in the cab. I think we’ll be good to go then.

Going to look good on her. My daughter uses seat heaters year round.

You forgot that she'll be ready to replace these every 10K miles...

Ball joints
Tie rod ends
CV axles

Which is why we are not doing anything that fundamentally changes the way the Toyota engineers intended for it to be. The older I get, the more I try to manage overhead. Hoping we get 2-300,000 trouble free miles with regular maintenance. Her off-roading will be very mild and I’m sure this will be more than adequate as is.
