Well, he bought the rifle in the next state due to the age being pushed up in California to 21 in jan of this year. He got it in a neighboring state. I can already see what's coming........
They are calling it a SKS assault rifle. Same type of rifle used by the baseball shooter who almost killed Rep. Scalise.
This article says he “bought it legally in Nevada”. https://amp.usatoday.com/amp/1854727001
Fairly sure a California citizen buying a AK out of state is anything but legal.
I think it's the part about bringing it back into California where they have an 'assault weapon' registry, that would make it highly illegal in California.You can't buy rifles as an out of state person?

Not if you live in California is my understanding. Even if you could buy something out of state I’m positive you can’t bring it back when it doesn’t comply with California’s laws.You can't buy rifles as an out of state person?
I'm sure it's more illegal than using it to commit murder, attempted mass murder, and mass murder seeing as it is Commiefornia. On second thought, how could this possibly have happened because the State had a prohibition....I think it's the part about bringing it back into California where they have an 'assault weapon' registry, that would make it highly illegal in California.
Like this guy was going to give a steaming pile of crap about that.Not if you live in California is my understanding. Even if you could buy something out of state I’m positive you can’t bring it back when it doesn’t comply with California’s laws.
can you get a C&R license at 19?Could have a C&R, I got my SKS Yugo sent to my home address, I have a C&R FFL.

No, my bad, 21. Did not read about the drt shooter.can you get a C&R license at 19?
Alreasy seeing the Libtard blog-o-sphere bitching and moaning about how someone was able to get around Commifornia's prohibition by going out of state. They're focusing on the 21 age part, too.
How did they track it down so fast anyway?
Maybe CA can protect itself, with a wall.
City by county by state. 8 years......max.A little nibble here and there, that's how it will happen.
Down here we call that...a good start.And still no one cares about the homicides in Chicago:
Last Week’s Totals (7/21 – 7/27)
Shot & Killed: 12
Shot & Wounded: 59
Total Shot: 71
Total Homicides: 13
Among other things, California:
Requires all gun sales to be processed through a licensed dealer, requiring a background check;
Requires gun dealers to obtain a state license;
Bans most assault weapons and .50 caliber rifles, and restricts the sale, transfer, manufacture, and possession of large capacity ammunition magazines;
Requires all firearms purchasers to obtain a Firearm Safety Certificate, after passing a written test;
Regulates gun shows in a comprehensive manner;
Limits purchases of new handguns to one per person per month;
Prohibits the sale of unsafe handguns that do not incorporate mandatory design safety elements;
Imposes a ten-day waiting period prior to the sale or transfer of a firearm;
Maintains permanent records of firearm sales;
Gives local law enforcement discretion to deny a license to carry a concealed weapon; and
Gives local governments authority to regulate firearms and ammunition, although the state legislature has expressly removed this authority in certain areas.
In addition, in 2014, California became the first jurisdiction in the nation to enact a Gun Violence Restraining Order law (also known as a Firearms Restraining Order or Extreme Risk Protection Order), allowing concerned family members to petition a court to temporarily remove firearms from a love one who is found to pose a clear danger to the public or their own safety during a mental crisis.
In 2016, California voters also adopted a comprehensive package of gun safety reforms through Proposition 63 (“The Safety for All Act of 2016”). Among other major reforms, Proposition 63 will, when implemented, make California the first state in the nation to require a point-of-sale background check on ammunition purchases.
Plus we can conclude that since it was the Garlic Festival that likely the shooter wasn't a Vampire.
And so they will start to regulate Californian Residents, who are apparently both dimwitted and dangerous, despite their gullibility.
You can't buy rifles as an out of state person?
Yes you can buy a long gun across state lines however the sale has to be legal in BOTH STATES.
WRAL was quick to say shooter was a white male on their news cast yesterday.
I'm not sure if his name was circulated yet or not.
I was thinking about this on my way home. Lots of failure and derp to be had. First, their strict “gun restrictions” failed, the guy went to another state. Second, their secure “gun free” zone with wanding and metal detectors failed, he went around it. Third, their barrier failed, he penetrated it.
So now you have a disarmed populace denied the best means of equalized self defense. The “government” response was beyond exemplary at roughly one minute which under other circumstances would have been impossible.
Now consider that I’ve practiced drawing from concealment and placing rounds on target and can do so in about 2 seconds. Others, people I know personally on this very forum can do it in about half that time.
Now compare that in roughly sixty seconds how many were injured or killed. In 1/30th to 1/60th of that time I or other people here could have possibly put him down (ok, over estimate based up the WTF factor, but still less than the extraordinary police response). One of us could have made the difference such that one or two may have gotten killed, or possibly just injured - a Far better outcome, though still not ideal.
Eff them and their damned gun restrictions and “we need a GD ban”.
Buy it cheap and stack it deep.
They want everyone disarmed. Everywhere.
To be clear, they don't want everyone disarmed, just anyone not on their side. You don't see the elites replacing their armed troops with signs and rules because they know that doesn't work. Unfortunately most of our opponents don't see that, and won't until it's too late.
"Why the need for civilians to have access to these types of weapons when police can respond this quickly?"
.
Isn’t it strange that we don’t have this guy’s entire social media history and beliefs yet? Was he the only 19 year old that didn’t put his whole life online somewhere?
