Short / compact receiver ext buffer tube? Who makes one?

Looking a short tube for standard retractable mil spec Dia stocks.
Who makes one now?

CMMG did with their RipStock compact own a few. Looks like the only ones now at from LWRCI direct.

Looking a few for 22 SBR builds. Will not be using the guts. Have the short stocks.

The LWRCI UCIW and LMT PDW are probably the most reliable options. One costs “eh” and the other costs “ouch.”

can you cut down a normal one and plug it since you're not using the guts anyway.
no sense in paying for proprietary stuff like bcg/buffer if you're just gonna toss them in a box

Thought about cutting the end off. Would need to drill and add some type of stop to keep the stock from pulling off.
Not sure how it would change the strength of the tube. Should be strong enough. Could add an aluminum plug to the end to increase the strength of the tube if needed. That was one thought.

Looked at that not enough left on the tube to cut threads take an inch or two off.
Tube is 1.135 and threads are 1.180
