Picked up a Sig rifle at my LGS this past weekend. Decently priced, FJB purchase.

I didn’t pay too much attention until it was time to stuff it in the safe, but the stock collapse lever is missing.
I emailed Sig customer service who stated this is a CA compliant rifle, so the stock can’t be adjusted. I doubled checked the box and it is a CA compliant rifle. The pistol grip is normal style, and it came with a 30 round magpul. The stock lever appears to be the only difference.

Are there any other differences I should be aware of? What would be the easiest way to acquire the lever and pin to convert this to NC compliant? Has anyone else seen these circulating outside of CA? I didn’t think that was something I needed to be aware of.

Thanks!

There is no such thing as NC compliant, we simply don't have all the restrictions that CA has. Hence pistol grips, bayonet lugs and flash hiders are all fine. I don't have the specific on this model but if the stock was made to be CA compliant I would wager it was made in such a way that it will not be possible to buy just the lever and make it adjustable. Most likely you have to replace the entire stock which stinks.

The NC compliant comment was my poor attempt at sarcasm. :)
Thanks for the response. I agree that a replacement stock looks to be the only path at this point.
I never thought about checking to be sure I wasn’t getting a compliant rifle off the shelf of a local gun dealer. On a side note, Sig customer service was prompt with the correct info, so kudos to them.

I had a feeling about that ;-)
Peculiar that you got a CA stock but the rest of rifle was normal. I would not have expected that either.
