Sig mag release problem

So I botched a mag release reversal on my P226 and now the sumbitch is stuck. A little internet research says you can drill things or use a feeler gauge. I can't get the feeler method to work so far, and don't go wanna trigger happy with my Dewalt if I don't have to.

Anyone around here had this same problem or is a Sig Armorer locally?

Got it fixed. After cutting my finger with the piece of feeler gauge, I got that method to work. So I didn't have to drill or further destroy anything.

Next time I'll know how critical the orientation of this detent is.
