I picked up a new Sig threaded barrel for my P220 Elite Extreme today and attempted to install it. The slide would not go back on the frame. There was too much interference coming from the feed ramp. I asked about having the shop's gunsmith fit the barrel and they said it was too much of an interference in their opinion.

So has anyone else had this issue with Sigs and replacing the barrel with a Sig barrel. Just seems odd or either there is poor QC.

Is it a Sig factory threaded barrel? If it is it should drop in. Call Sig

Yes, Sig factory barrel. I ended up returning it but now I'm not sure I want to order one direct from Sig if I'm going to have the same issue. Sounds like it is just a bad barrel.

If it is a match barrel it should be fitted to the gun, they are made to provide a perfect fit. A factory replacement should drop in.

That should be the purpose of having a true gunsmith around. Not some dude that changes out sights and grips and calls themselves a smith.

Not a match barrel. Just a run of the mill Sig replacement barrel. Have been told by many it should be drop in replacement.

My Bar Sto .40 220 SAO barrel was gunsmith fit and will not fit my 220 TDA gun.
