Father in law inherited his fathers collection today. Drove straight over to show us what he found.

Break action & release lever welded solid, as well as the hammer and trigger. 100% non functional but one hell of a conversation piece 😂

Sort of makes my scrotum twitch thinking of field carrying that thing.

That must belong to the politician* who recommended firing a shotgun to scare off potential troublemakers. You should return it to him immediately. He might be needing that for squirrels and such.

*Wish I could remember who that was. But you know, after a certain age a man's mind doesn't work like it used to. 🤔

hehehehe … !

My kids used to like to read the spin off novels from Star Trek and Star Wars. One of them contained a story about a "Stupid Gun". The crew happened across a deserted planet that had an array of high tech large scale weapons. One of them was a gun, labeled STUPID GUN! with warnings of DO NOT FIRE!. Apparently, it was designed as a global range weapon that fired a powerful bolt of energy that would skip through the atmosphere, following the curvature of the planet to it's target, but if not aimed carefully, the bolt would circumnavigate the globe and kill the operator.

Demolition Ranch has a couple videos up with bent barrels on ARs. Surprisingly, most actually fire....
