When you want to share something, but not spoil it for others. It lets you answer a question, but forces people to click a button to see it. For example, if there was a thread about a new movie, I could say my favorite part was

when the guy that was shot wasn’t actually dead

and if somebody didn’t want to know anything about the movie they could just not click the button. But others that have already seen it could click it and see...

New site will not log me off if I hit Home :) the old site would log me off anytime I hit Home.
 
It would have to speed up a considerable amount to get to slow.

I appreciate the hard work of keeping this forum going.
With that being said, I am entitled to my opinion. I do not like the new format.

What browser are you using?

The themes are reactive which means whatever your screen size or font size it adjusts.

Here are some screenshots from my iPhone with safari. You can see my adjustments on the font size adjusts what you see on the screen.

Not sure about the header staying on top... mine shows up but it’s probably hiding it based on screen size.

Safari on my ip11. It’s not a huge deal as I couldn’t tell what was “off” at first. I’m sure I’ll get over it :)

We have more things coming next Wednesday. We are upgrading the infrastructure which gives us the performance increase for less money. We had to upgrade to the latest version first.
 
So far I like it. Not slow at all for me, but I'm on a desktop. Might take a little getting used to, but I'll get over that. Just tried the dark mode, like that too. Keep up the good work!
 
Well...I guess that explains why I had to log back in tonight.

Not a bad look. I'll give more feedback if I have any problems navigating.

im also old and resistant to change and at the moment I hate it . it reminds me of v- bulletin. But I guess I'll learn to like it

OK...little feedback on something that doesn't require fixing.

With only "Like" options available before, I used to skim down a thread doing pattern recognition to find where this shifted between "Like" and "Unlike". It was an easy way to scroll to where I needed to be, or to see where I may have skipped a posting. Or sometimes when I was sure I'd clicked "Like" before, but it currently showed "Unlike".

Now if I click "Like" it shifts from an unbolded blue font to a bold blue font which says "Like". I've already clicked on a few bold "Like" indications mistakenly thinking I was Liking them but in fact Unliking them.
 
I think I like Black Responsive more, but playing with these

I was shocked when I logged on this morning and saw such a change

Our site hadn’t been upgraded since Dec 2016. I’m sure the versions changed a lot less over time but since we didn’t upgrade it looks different from what we had.

This is why I prefaced my comment by saying it doesn't need fixing. It's just "different", not "bad" and I need to adjust.

@amnesia Thanks for looking at this. Like I said above, it's not "bad", just "different". After all, I got used to the other layout. I probably just need to adjust to new cues and learn to use the new tools.

Every alert I open gives me a popup on my phone prompting me to choose between Tapatalk or my browser (Chrome) to view the thread.

I'm already viewing the site in Chrome. I'm opening the alerts on Chrome. I think I wanna be on Chrome or I'd have already switched.

Another problem on my phone.

For some reason, whenever I open an alert, or view a thread, which takes me to a posting by @GoWolfpack , I get this on my phone (Galaxy S9 using Chrome). No other members do this.

That will go away after 3 or 4 times of logging in or refreshing
 
I love dark mode! And I love the change you made your overnight making the contrast between the color background and the font better! Really awesome!

I changed the color from blue to something where you know you've clicked it. How does the orange look?

So the reason why it pops up is for folks that are rejecting cookies or folks that clear cookies on exit. It has to remember your selection that you want to use chrome. It does this through the cookie.

Would love to hear what specifically you dont like about it. If its just different I understand change is painful sometimes but if you're missing some function or design like the previous version let me know. I will see if there is anything that we can tweak.

Same here. It was nice change first pass but think now it looks even better and easier to follow.
 
@amnesia Most of the devices I have accessed the forum on, e.g. Windows PC, Linux PC, iPad, are fine, but there seems to be some sort of CSS issue with my mobile phone. Please see attached. Some of the long signatures, and things seem to cause it to display in odd fashion.
