I’ve seen these guys in person and I still find it hard to comprehend. I thought I’d try vintage trials, which is considerably — considerably — easier. I fell over in my back yard and had to call my wife to get the bike off me. Then I broke my thumb failing to dodge a tree. Shortly after that I jabbed the kickstart pedal into the back of my knee and drove myself to the emergency room Holding a handkerchief over it. And all that was within 100 yards of my house. I decided I was not cut out for trials. I think you gotta start young, while you are still invincible.

I never competed..but my dad/I had a trials bike for awhile just to mess around on..you run REALLY low psi in the tires.

Jumping jumps and riding whoops racing motocross was easier than trials....those guys can ride a motorcycle.

and...... drum roll please.

Welcome back, @Friday.

Could be a ride to Tellico Plains next Monday - Wednesday if the forecast holds. Lodge at Tellico.

Should I ever ride again it will be another 5th Gen. There’s a reason why those 20+ year old bikes bring a premium.
I doubt I will ever part with mine. I've wanted one since it was new.
