Serial number shows 1968 manufacturing date. I’d estimate blueing at 95%, with only a slight turn ring on the cylinder. It came from from a collection being sold by Ed’s Gun Shop in Vass. Phone pics don’t do it justice.

Big thanks to @BatteryOaksBilly for telling me what to look for, and for information on these revolvers. He may have also created a monster, as now I’ll be looking for a 3”, then a 2 1/2”, then another variation....

That's a true classic S&W. I had my Model 10-6 out this week and ran some rounds through it. Here's mine.

I’ve got to replace the Hogue grips on mine, they just don’t look right. Need some fancy finished wood.
Glad to hear you are going to get rid of those things. Everyone has different tastes but if it were me I’d burn those things so they can never be installed on another classic revolver ...

The right grips do make a difference,
I love the ones on my 10-8
I'd buy a couple more sets for my other model tens but there's no trade mark on these inside or out
