So, my son is graduating from NC State today...

Congratulations to him! Very exciting and pivotal moment in his life (or it CAN be)
What is his degree in?

I'm embarrassed to say. Sport Management. He wants to work in the front offices of a sports program.

The kicker is, he is a legit genius. Probably 140 IQ, he could major in anything he wants and be successful. But he is also extremely lazy.

Hopefully he’ll find/make a niche. Sportos spend lots of $$$

Congrats! I was class of '82. Didnt walk the line or graduate with a cord but I did have a job which I am sure made my parents ecstatic. That along with getting married at roughly the same time.

He could work at Bull City Running Co. That little store is right next to the space we are leasing as our office while we build the apartment building behind it. That lady is something else. We lease over 1/3 of the entire building and she complains that we also have to park in the parking lot.

That explains the traffic on Hillsboro and Western today.

Glad they didn't tell me 140 was considered genius when I was in school....

My son isn’t up for college yet, but I tell him if he goes to truck driving school I will split his 529 with him. No agreement yet, but I’m working on him. I bought 5 years worth of credits when he was born, he is 16 now. Nice gun fund.

Unfortunately, he mutters something about chemical engineering. Slacker.

Congratulations to you and your wife for doing a fine job raising a fine young man and congratulations to him for putting in the hard work.

Congrats. Now get that boy a job and off your payroll.
When’s this supposed to happen??

My wife is like the US Federal Govt.

She wants ours dependent forever.

In fairness to her, and to them, they are both out of school, both working, both out of the house.

But.......

My 7 year old twin grandson’s and two little grandaughters have never had to buy shoes or coats. The wife can’t stop herself.

Congratulations Chuck and to all the grads. I got one who just finished his first year at ncsu and the younger son joins him next year there as well. TG the 529s worked as advertised.
