Couldn't stand it any longer. The "inexpensive" off the wall shotguns on PSA have been a temptation for a while. $300 for this obnoxious thing? I've spent more on less before so why not? 'Least there's an opportunity for entertainment with this, right? Got it here and followed the directions of a few Tubers to get the Chicom grease out of it and slick it up with some proper lube. Didn't notice a lot of extra metal on the guts. Worked it a hundred times or so anyways.. Been leaving it set with the action locked back.
Haven't bought a good supply of "extra" shells yet but had a 25rd box of cheapie "El Supremo" 00 shells hangin around. Set it to "2" and went ta blastin'. Glad to report that all 25 went thru it without a hitch and was tearin hell outta the berm I use for a backstop.
Gonna try some Big Walmart box #8 crap tomorrow and see how it does on "3".

They've got some funky stuff over there. They're drivin hard to the hoop ta sell those RIA VRF14's.

If they took the same mags as the BP 12 I'd be in trouble lol
 
Just got back in the house from tryin the #8 Wallyworld 100 Pack "Target" loads.
Ran 20 thru it in 2/5rd + 1/10rd mags fast as I could work the trigger.
Smooth as butter with no malfunctions. With the added benefit of being able to easily stay on target.
I know it's a pretty dinky trial so far. But first rounds are where I'd expect the most trouble. Kinda grinning bout it right now, tho'.
Looked like a pretty ruthless onslaught on the berm.. I'll hafta make a quick vid. 🤠 👍
 
Just got back in from 20 more flawless rounds thru all magazines. Tryin to not be overly obnoxious to the neighbors with that blastin'.
Lookin forward to takin it down to the club post season for a real heating up of the metal.
Made a short vid but don't see a way to upload it.
This is the cheapo ammo I'm using for break in.

Dammit. I found out the VR pattern mags work with my BP12 and vice versa, so the VRF14 is now ordered from PSA. If it runs with cheap ammo, it will eventually get a chainsaw, after I'm done making my Uberpimp 22lr AR. Got to have hobbies, right?

If it's reliable should be one hell of an HD gun with my 10rd mags.

Either way, I'm likely going to need help figuring out how to butcher that to fit on the shotgun. May God have mercy on my soul.
 
The Beast is sittin in a corner. I'll break it out for a few rounds occasionally just for the halibut.
There's nothing remotely practical about this thing outside of it's cheapness.
Big, heavy, long, goofy mags. It's got it all!! But no malfunctions thus far.
I still think it's a hoot and worth the price of admission just for chits-n-grins.
But the 1301 kinda overshadows it now.. 🤠

Chucked some of those cheap Rio buckshot that they have in bulk at various places thru The Beast today.
Fed, went boom, made a mess, then went flyin.
Kinda like me 40 years and 150 pounds ago.. 😮‍💨👺😁
