I've acquired some old 1911's and some other guns and I know that they haven't been cleaned in years. Do yall recommend sonic cleaners and if so, what model/brand?
Amazon has several. the one I bought was around $150-200. it was a bit bigger than some of the others. Here is a trick to use whatever one you get. Put water in the unit, put your parts in a ziplock bag, add cleaning solution (simple green) and water to the ziplock bag, and put the bag in that water in the cleaner. You can put several bags in mine at a time. I take the bags out dump them and add more solution and water. Usually do each part twice for about 4-5 minutes. Doing it in bags makes things a lot easier and you can maximize the space.I've acquired some old 1911's and some other guns and I know that they haven't been cleaned in years.
