Since the notification doesn't inform the user of which admin made an action on their thread/post, I'll post a general apology to all admins: sorry for not being current on the BST rules of not posting "SPF" when an item is sold pending funds.

Small piece of constructive criticism, if I may: some folks don't "know better" who aren't regularly peddling on BST. Last time I sold something, posting "SPF" was standard procedure, especially if there are a few sniffing out the item. I know admin'ing is a thankless job, but it's a bit jabbish to put that in the message--especially to a first time low-level offender. A simple "please know that 'SPF' isn't allowed any longer" would have sufficed for this knucklehead.

I got a response the other week for doing the same thing, had no idea it had changed.

Just an overall thought that I’ve also shared in the Member’s BST thread.

From a member’s POV, not as a staff member...there’s zero reason to post SPF, or Sold. It bumps an ad to the top, for an item that’s either most likely (SPF) or definitely not (Sold) available…which doesn’t do anybody any good. It’s the entire reason we have the various dropdown options in the title. Use those to change the status.

From a Staff perspective…we have to moderate dozens, sometimes 100+, of BST posts a day. A majority of the time I know I don’t even look to see who it is, other than a quick glance to make sure it’s not the OP adding something to their thread. So it’s definitely not anything to take personal and feel like you need to apologize to anybody for. I wouldn’t say there’s any rule change that’s happened, just a lot more to clean up with the increase of activity over the last several months.

Okay, I think I see what’s happening. I used to edit my posts SPF if the deal was pending, but not finished. But I would edit the post, not comment in my thread, which effectively bumps the thread. I assume the bumping of the thread by adding SPF in an additional comment is what is at odds with the current protocol
